When creating Deus Ex: The Fall, game developer N-Fusion Interactive relied upon the industry-leading FaceFX software platform for facial animation technology and to bring the Deus Ex: Human Revolution experience to the mobile environment.
Set in 2027, Deus Ex: The Fall tells the story of Ben Saxon, a former British SAS Mercenary. The game was released on Android and iOS platforms, and features gameplay and content that pushes the boundaries of the mobile gaming experience.
Developer N-Fusion Interactive used the FaceFX integration with Unity to bring game characters to life and tell the powerful narrative behind the title. "FaceFX was a cornerstone in our development of 'Deus Ex: The Fall' on iOS and Android, handling all of the facial animations both in-game and in cut-scenes." says Christopher Dispensa, Senior Animator, N-Fusion Interactive. "FaceFX allowed easy deployment into our Maya and Unity pipelines and XML exporting from FaceFX studio allowed rapid deployment and very quick updating. In general, FaceFX was a great help in developing this complex mobile title.”
