Hi Doug,
I'd like to import my morph-based lip-sync'ed FaceFX animation back into Maya. My fbx files written out from FaceFX however do not have geometry. I've limited my bone count to one and have nothing locked on the skeleton. I'm currently using Maya 2016 outputting fbx 2013 compatible format. I'll try with Maya 2013 & 2014 today.
Any tips as to what I'm missing?
Thanks,
Mark
The lack of geometry in the animation FBX file is to be expected. The purpose is to hold animation data, and having lots of copies of the geometry is not ideal in a large pipeline. To combine with your original geometry in Maya, load up the same base FBX file you used to create your character in FaceFX, then import the FaceFX-generated FBX file you want on top.
