I'm using the December release of UDK and was excited to begin using FaceFX, but the plugins of Max 2012 are missing from the UDK install.
I also can't find an install for FaceFX free, although it is mentioned in the comparison chart and in videos, so I'm without a workaround.
What is OC3's official position on this? How can current UDK / Max 2012 users get to the same content made freely available to other users without rolling back (not actually an option anyway).

We'll look into this, but ultimately it's not up to us what makes it into the UDK builds.
FaceFX free is part of the evaluation download. In a pinch, you could use the plugins from the evaluation build and save out an XML file with your bone poses, then import it into a blank FaceFX actor inside of the UDK.
